The celebration of a marriage is a source of great celebration for the Church. In asking to celebrate your marriage in the Church, you are inviting God to be present with you and to bless you on your wedding day, but also throughout your life together. This is one of the greatest and most beautiful decisions of a person’s life, and therefore we ask that due care and attention is given to the marriage preparation. At the very least, six months’ notice must be given to the parish priest so that a proper programme of preparation can be pursued.
